Dreaming of an Overseas Property?

This could be a good time to buy if you are a cash buyer. In a buyer’s market cash is king and an excellent opportunity to invest. Vendors are becoming more realistic about prices and are often open to negotiation.

There are sign in the US that the property market is beginning to bottom out. Florida has shown some increases in property prices so the market could be turning. Expect Europe to catch up in about 6 months time.

The currency exchange for euro-zone countries (and even UK sterling) against the US $ is excellent. Buying a property in Florida now could catch onto two positive affects on price – namely the Florida property recovering and secondly the US $ strengthening later in the year when the Fed starts increasing the interest rates.

Unemployment remains low in Florida so there should be good in rental demand in the resorts and business areas. Investors looking for rental income should investigate the Florida market.
